The Varroa incursion in Newcastle (NSW) has disrupted the beekeeping community. Currently, SA borders are closed to all bees, including Queen bees. However, we are not sure how long this will last. It is time to learn more about the Varroa mite and become vigilant in Varroa surveillance.

Varroa Surveillance - Fight the Mite.

The Varroa incursion in Newcastle has disrupted the beekeeping community. 

Currently, SA borders are closed to all bees, including Queen bees. However, we are not sure how long this will last.

It is time to learn more about the Varroa mite and become vigilant in Varroa surveillance.

  • The latest PIRSA information and restrictions.
  • How to do the alcohol wash method.
  • How to submit your sample for testing.
  • Learn how to make your own alcohol wash kit.
