Are you interested in beekeeping? Want to learn more? This event will give you all you need to know about "how to get started" in beekeeping. Meet with Phil from Adelaide Bee Sales; an experienced commercial beekeeper who started with one hive in the backyard.

"Backyard Beekeeping: An introduction"
Come along to bee school and learn more.
The morning is a practical introduction to backyard beekeeping.
Topics include:
- life in the bee colony,Â
- beekeeping according to the seasons,Â
- beehive equipment, including the Flow Hive,Â
- pests and disease,Â
- registration and record-keeping for PIRSA,Â
- "How can I get started?"
Duration: 90 minutes followed by Q and A discussion.

We have a pop-up shop after the event selling books, and honey. Purchases can be made with cash or card. No live bees or apiary visit.
